Sherman Hemsley of The Jeffersons, Moved On Up

Sherman Hemsley, the actor who made the character George Jefferson famous in “The Jeffersons,” has died of natural causes at his home in El Paso, Texas. He was 74.

    I wasn’t old enough to watch but he was on the jeffersons. I think it was a Cosby Show type a sitcom for the 70s.
